The other week I attended an employability event as an Abbeyfield Academy Alumni to speak with a group of current Year 12 Students who are unsure where to go from Sixth form! They were so lovely and reminded me of so many years back, (5 years now) since being at school and unsure of which route to take. I was so thrilled to be part of an amazing team and sharing my experiences from University, working abroad, self-employment, gap year and employment. (I can't believe I have experienced so much) This event was incredibly eye opening, not only did the Sixth Former's learnt from us, but I also learnt so much from them!
Thank you for the Photography which is by Photocall Events
Thank you to my best friend Olivia Taylor for showing me these opportunities!
I have recently had an article published about me, I am so happy to say I am so proud of myself and what I have already achieved. Having people wanting to interview me makes me feel so great and it reminds me of the fantastic things that I do and that they are appreciated. Have a look at the article here!

I had an exhibition that is up in the Pen Gallery throughout September until the start of October. Pen Gallery runs lots of amazing workshops too, including one's for kids. I ran a Pinhole camera workshop for them, and they enjoyed it very much.
I have been nominated for a National Social Mobility Award, and will be attending an exclusive finalist ceremony at the House of Lords next month. I was shortlisted as a result of my work in the Creative Industries. The submission highlights my social documentary series on migration, work to document a Black Lives Matter march in Northampton, and two Extinction Rebellion climate change protests in Bournemouth.
'Deima was nominate for the UK's biggest awards UpReach for student social development in the field of Photography'
The Student Social Mobility Awards showcase the incredible achievements of undergraduates from lower socio-economic backgrounds from across the UK. The awards recognize students who have excelled in their studies and beyond, and shown great potential to excel as they launch their careers.
I want to celebrate by sharing our amazing achievement with my best friend Olivia Taylor, who I created Panic & Me Podcast with. There was no question that we cannot create something great if me and Olivia put our minds to it, and as we carry on growing our podcast, we are constantly thinking of new projects and ideas to help enlighten this word and make a difference.
